DUAAF Swears In New Executive Committee for 2025–2027, Emphasizes Skills, Sustainability and Industry Leadership

The Dhaka University Alumni Apparel Foundation (DUAAF) inducted its newly elected Executive Committee for the 2025–2027 term at an oath-taking ceremony held on January 16, 2026, at the University of Dhaka. More than 100 guests from the garment and textile industry, along with DU alumni, attended the programme.Former BGMEA President Faruque Hassan joined the event as chief guest and highlighted the need for workforce upskilling and reduced dependence on imported raw materials to enhance industry competitiveness. DUAAF President AKM Shoaib outlined the foundation’s focus on skills development, leadership building, and global engagement.The event also featured a presentation on DUAAF’s strategic roadmap and a panel discussion on leadership and labour market challenges in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Founded in 2019, DUAAF works to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and develop future leaders for Bangladesh’s apparel sector.
