Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) has launched a new digital platform titled Port Single Window (CPA SKY), marking a major step toward transforming the port into a smart and paperless facility.
The platform allows users to access all port services through a Single Sign-On (AIS 2.0) system with one login. It features real-time monitoring, a digital radar, and an automated vessel tracking system.
Speaking virtually at the launch, Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said the system could boost operational efficiency three to five times, significantly benefiting trade and the national economy.
The system enables faster customs and port clearance, allowing importers and exporters to complete procedures online without visiting multiple offices. Officials say the initiative will enhance transparency, reduce manual workload, and improve ease of doing business.
On launch day, berth utilization stood at 67%, with 14 of 21 berths operational, while 128 vessels were being tracked digitally.
