A Hong Kong–based company, Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co., Ltd., has signed a land lease agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) to establish a high-end ready-made garment manufacturing factory at the BEPZA Economic Zone.
The project will involve an investment of US$15.34 million and is expected to generate employment for approximately 1,988 people, contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s export-oriented apparel sector.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, who welcomed the new investment and assured the company of full support and necessary facilitation to ensure smooth establishment and operations.
Officials noted that the investment reflects BEPZA’s continued commitment to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) and further strengthen Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) manufacturing industry, which remains the country’s largest export sector.
