Bangladesh’s merchandise exports rose 11.22% month-on-month in January, reaching $4.41 billion, driven mainly by stronger readymade garment shipments, according to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Exports stood at $3.96 billion in December.However, during July–January of FY2025–26, total exports fell to $28.41 billion, down from $28.96 billion in the same period last fiscal year, reflecting ongoing global trade challenges.
The readymade garment sector remained dominant, earning $22.98 billion and recording 11.77% year-on-year growth, EPB data showed.
