The BUTEX Science Club has officially announced TEXTITANS 2026: Inter-Departmental Championship, a flagship academic competition aimed at fostering engineering excellence through knowledge, strategy, and innovation.
The event will bring together students from all 11 departments of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), creating a unified competitive platform where departments will compete for the prestigious title of “Supreme Champion Department.”
TEXTITANS 2026 is designed to test participants across multiple dimensions, including creativity, technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and teamwork. The championship will feature three core segments: Poster Presentation, Quizard, and Treasure Hunt. Each segment has been structured to challenge students in distinct yet complementary ways, ranging from idea development and knowledge assessment to strategic problem-solving in dynamic environments.
Performance in all segments will contribute to a cumulative scoring system, which will ultimately determine the final departmental rankings. The integrated format ensures a balanced evaluation of both intellectual capability and practical execution.
The competition is open to all undergraduate students of BUTEX, with cross-batch team participation encouraged to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among students from different academic levels.
According to the organizers, the initiative aims to go beyond conventional academic contests by creating an engaging and competitive environment that aligns with the evolving demands of engineering education.
