Representatives from UCC and Huawei paid a courtesy call on BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem at the association’s Dhaka office on 9 February.
The meeting focused on green energy solutions, particularly the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and its potential benefits for the knitwear sector. The delegation outlined how the system could enhance energy efficiency, enable cost optimisation, and promote environmental sustainability within the RMG industry.
Mohammad Hatem expressed strong interest in the renewable energy solution and sought further details on its operational mechanisms and cost implications. He noted that, if proven viable, the system could contribute positively to both industrial efficiency and environmental sustainability in Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
