A high-level delegation from the U.S. Embassy visited Elite Garments’ manufacturing facility in Tongi to review export operations, labour standards, and compliance practices.
The delegation included Commercial Counsellor Paul Frost, Labour Attaché Leena Khan, and Defence Attaché Carsten Fletcher, along with other embassy officials.
During the visit, senior management of Elite Group presented an overview of operations, export markets, and compliance systems. The company highlighted its nearly 35-year partnership with US-based PVH Corp, reflecting long-term collaboration with American buyers.
Officials toured production units, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control sections. Discussions focused on transparency, worker welfare, and responsible sourcing.
Shayaan Seraj, Group Director of Elite Group, said the visit showcased Bangladesh’s strong manufacturing capability and long-standing partnerships with global brands.
