Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), in collaboration with Square Group, has successfully implemented rooftop solar power projects across Square Textiles PLC and Square Food & Beverage Limited, strengthening the Group’s sustainability initiatives.
Since 2020, three rooftop solar projects with a total capacity of 7.51 MWp have been installed with financing and technical support from IDCOL. The projects are helping reduce carbon emissions, lower energy costs, and improve energy efficiency in Square Group’s industrial operations.
A joint celebration marking the partnership was held on 8 February 2026 at Square Group’s Corporate Office in Mohakhali, Dhaka, attended by senior officials from both organizations.
Square Group reaffirmed its commitment to adopting clean energy for responsible industrial growth, while IDCOL emphasized its continued role in financing renewable energy and supporting Bangladesh’s clean energy transition.
Both organizations expressed interest in expanding future cooperation in rooftop solar, energy efficiency, and other sustainable energy investments.
