A delegation of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), led by President Mahmud Hasan Khan, met with Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Planning, at the Secretariat today.
The meeting focused on the current economic situation and industrial development, with special emphasis on ensuring sustainable growth of Bangladesh’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
BGMEA stressed the need for continued policy support to maintain the global competitiveness of the apparel industry. The delegation noted that sustained growth of the RMG sector would play a vital role in strengthening Bangladesh’s long-term economic stability and resilience.
The delegation included Senior Vice President Inamul Khan Bablu, Vice President (Finance) Mijanur Rahman, Vice Presidents Vidiya Amrit Khan and Shehab Udduza Chowdhury, along with Directors Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Faisal Samad, Mohammed Abdus Salam, Nafis Ud Doula, Mojumdar Arifur Rahman, and Dr. Rashid Ahamed Hossaini.
