The Annual General Assembly (AGA) of JCI Dhaka South was held on Wednesday at Gulshan Club in the capital, marking a significant leadership transition for the 2026 term. During the ceremonial event, Md Naeem Haider was officially announced as the Local President of JCI Dhaka South for 2026. The presidential chain was formally handed over by the outgoing president and Immediate Past Local President, Kazi Motahazzad Billah, symbolizing the change in leadership.
The assembly was attended by JCI Bangladesh National President Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, along with national officers, past presidents and distinguished community leaders. In his address following the transition, Md Naeem Haider expressed his commitment to strengthening youth leadership, expanding business networking opportunities and implementing impactful community development initiatives throughout the Dhaka South region.
The 2026 executive board includes Mahbubur Rahman Tarique as Local Executive Vice President, while Niaz Hasnat Shaon, Syed Nabil Ahmed, Md Hadiuzzaman Hadi and Zeenat Sultan will serve as Local Vice Presidents. Administrative and financial responsibilities will be managed by Local Secretary General Minhaz Uddin Ahmed Shanto and Local Treasurer Dr Mohammad Ali. Legal oversight will be provided by General Legal Counsel Kazi Nishat, and Mohammad Baijed will serve as Local Training Commissioner. The leadership team also includes Md Shakhawat Hossain as JCI In Business (JIB) Chairperson, Local Directors Syed Rashidul Imam Ashik, Emmanuel D Rozario and Fuad Hossain Chowdhury, and Md Zahidul Islam as Executive Assistant to the Local President.
Under the theme “Lead. Connect. Evolve.”, JCI Dhaka South reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young active citizens and fostering sustainable growth through leadership development and community engagement initiatives.
