Vancot Limited, a concern of Shin Shin Group, has secured LEED Gold Precertification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), strengthening the group’s sustainability credentials.
The factory achieved 63 out of 110 points under the LEED rating system. With this milestone, Shin Shin Group now operates two green-certified facilities.Peter Templeton, President & CEO of the USGBC and Green Business Certification Inc., stated that LEED precertification reflects Vancot’s strong commitment to sustainable building practices and its progress toward full certification.
Earlier, Jeans Plus Limited, another unit of the group, received LEED Gold certification.LEED Gold recognition highlights excellence in energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable site development, indoor environmental quality, and responsible material usage.Chairman Mohammad Sohel Sadat said the achievement demonstrates Shin Shin Group’s firm commitment to sustainability across its operations.
