BGBA–Maximo Deal Opens Global Market Access for Garment Buying Houses

The Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maximo International, the official channel partner of Alibaba.com, aiming to strengthen Bangladesh’s footprint in the global digital marketplace.

The signing ceremony took place at the BGBA office in Uttara, Dhaka, in the presence of BGBA President Md. Abdul Hamid, executive committee members, and representatives from Maximo International.

The partnership is designed to empower BGBA members and garment buying houses by integrating them into global B2B ecosystems through advanced digital tools, structured onboarding support, and access to international buyers via Alibaba.com.

Under this collaboration, BGBA members will receive a range of exclusive benefits, including discounted Alibaba subscriptions, verified badges, premium storefront development, advertising campaign support, and product listing optimization. Members will also gain access to dedicated account management, performance analytics, and regular training sessions to enhance their digital capabilities.

BGBA officials believe this initiative will significantly improve the global visibility and competitiveness of Bangladeshi buying houses while accelerating export growth through digital transformation.

The association emphasized that this strategic move aligns with its long-term vision of connecting Bangladesh’s apparel sourcing sector with global markets in a more efficient and sustainable manner.
