Bally Ribbon Mills Highlights Mil-Spec Webbing for Critical-Use Applications

Precision-woven Mil-Spec webbing supports military, aerospace, parachute, ballooning,

and defense-system requirements

Bally Ribbon Mills (BRM), an industry leader in the design, development, and
manufacture of highly specialized engineered woven fabrics, highlights Mil-Spec
webbing and Parachute Industry Association (PIA)-Spec webbing and tapes for military,
aerospace, parachute, ballooning, and other critical-use applications.

BRM manufactures Mil-Spec webbing in nylon, textured nylon, Kevlar®, and Nomex®
for applications where material performance, quality control, and traceability are
essential. The company produces standard-specification webbing and tapes, as well as
custom narrow woven constructions for life-support systems, payload restraint,
parachute deployment, and other mission-critical assemblies.

BRM’s Mil-Spec webbing capabilities include Class 1 and Class 1a materials. Its Class
1 shuttle loom weaving process produces uniform woven edges that help minimize edge
abrasion and uniform strength loading, both important considerations for parachute
harness webbing and other applications subject to demanding loading, handling, and
environmental conditions.

The company maintains shuttle loom capacity to support critical-use Mil-Spec webbing
requirements for aerospace, defense, and military customers. BRM also participates in
the development of PIA narrow-fabric Mil-Specs, supporting industry requirements for
high-performance woven materials.

BRM manufactures a broad selection of Mil-Spec webbing and tape constructions,
including:

● Nylon Mil-Spec webbing and tapes: Mil-W-4088 / PIA-W-4088; Mil-DTL-5038K
(Mil-T-5038) / PIA-T-5038; Mil-W-5625 / PIA-W-5625; Mil-T-5608 / PIA-T-5608;
Mil-T-6134C; Mil-W-17337; Mil-W-27657B; and Mil-W-43668C.
● Kevlar® and Nomex® Mil-Spec webbing and tapes: MIL-T-87130, Mil-W-87127,
Mil-W-43685B, and Mil-T-43709B.
● Additional specifications and equivalents: AMS 3718, AA55301, commercial-
equivalent specifications, and industrial cross-referenced webbing options.

BRM provides procurement teams, engineers, and product designers with Mil-Spec
webbing, PIA-Spec webbing, aerospace webbing, and commercial-equivalent tape solutions for established programs, replacement requirements, and new product
development.

In addition to its standard offerings, BRM can support material selection, specification
requirements, and custom narrow woven designs.
