Leading French fashion brand Celio has officially inaugurated its new office in Dhaka, reaffirming its long-term commitment to Bangladesh as a key global apparel sourcing destination.
Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, attended the inauguration ceremony as the special guest. Addressing the event, he said the establishment of Celio’s Dhaka office reflects the French retailer’s growing confidence in Bangladesh’s apparel manufacturing capabilities and its strategic importance in the global supply chain.
During the ceremony, Shah Rayeed Chowdhury held discussions with Celio’s leadership on the company’s future sourcing strategy in Bangladesh. The company revealed that approximately 70% of its global sourcing currently originates from Bangladesh and expressed its intention to further expand procurement from the country in the coming years.
The inauguration was attended by Marc Grosman, Sebastien Bismuth, Morgan Delemazure, Lucie Abt, and Jean-Marc SERE-CHARLET.
