ITET Bangladesh Announces Election Schedule for 15th Central Executive Committee Polls

The Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists Bangladesh (ITET) has announced the schedule for its 15th Central Executive Committee Election 2026, with voting set to take place on June 26 at the campus of Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX).

According to the Election Commission, the final voter list, election schedule and code of conduct have already been published on the organisation’s official website. Other election-related policies and conditions are also available in the ITET constitution published online.

As per the announced timeline, the draft voter list was released on April 29, while the final voter list was published on May 9.

Prospective candidates will be able to collect nomination papers from the Election Commission office at BUTEX on May 14 between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Completed nomination papers must be submitted to the same office on May 16 during the designated hours. Following scrutiny on May 18, the list of valid candidates will be published.

The deadline for withdrawal of candidature has been set for May 20, while the final list of contestants will be announced on May 21.

Polling will be held on June 26 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Voting, however, will remain temporarily suspended from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm to facilitate Jumma prayers.

In a notice signed by Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr Md Mashiur Rahman Khan, candidates and voters were urged to comply with all election rules, guidelines and instructions during the electoral process.
