The Trailblazers, in collaboration with TAFE and Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), successfully organized its flagship inter-university competition, CreateX 2.0, on 26–27 July 2026 at the International Conference Hall of the BUBT campus in Mirpur-2, Dhaka. The two-day event brought together more than 450 university students from across Bangladesh, providing a vibrant platform to demonstrate creativity, communication skills, strategic thinking, and leadership.
The programme was graced by Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), as the Chief Guest. His presence added significance to the event, which was led by Zinnath Zafar Hiya, CEO and Founder of The Trailblazers, serving as Programme Chief, while Shovon Saha Abir, Treasurer of The Trailblazers, performed the role of Programme Secretary.
The opening day, held on 26 July, featured the offline selection and qualifying rounds of the Sell Me This and Storytelling Content competitions. Participants competed to secure places in the grand finale, demonstrating creativity, confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication throughout the preliminary rounds.
CreateX 2.0 – Offline Edition featured four competition segments designed to challenge participants across different creative and strategic disciplines. The Ad Making Competition, conducted in teams of two to three members, required contestants to conceptualize, produce, and present an advertising campaign based on a case study, with judging focused on creativity, strategic thinking, execution, and presentation. The Storytelling Content competition enabled participants to transform personal experiences into compelling narratives, progressing from an online video round to a live stage finale where the top five finalists performed and the top three were awarded.
In the Sell Me This segment, participants delivered persuasive pitches on everyday and unconventional objects through engaging visual and verbal presentations before the top five finalists competed live. The event also included Guess the Word, an interactive elimination-style fun segment open to all attendees.
A special Public Speaking and Motivational Session conducted by JK Bashar highlighted the main event day, inspiring participants to strengthen their confidence, communication abilities, and personal development.
The competition was evaluated by a distinguished judging panel comprising Amina Khatun, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, BUBT; Sadah Anjum Shanto, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BUBT; and Rahmatullah Rahat, Lecturer, Department of Economics, BUBT.
Winners received gift hampers worth more than BDT 10,000, along with official crests and certificates of achievement through the support of partner brands. Every participant was awarded a certificate of participation, while special recognition in the form of crests and certificates was presented to the Best Campus Ambassador and Best Club Partner.CreateX 2.0 was hosted by Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) with BUET TAFE as the Learning Partner. The programme was further supported by a wide range of academic, media, promotional, strategic, photography, food, beverage, wellness, entertainment, and digital outreach partners, reflecting strong collaboration between educational institutions and industry stakeholders.
The Trailblazers is a student-led organization dedicated to empowering young people through leadership, creativity, innovation, and professional development. Through initiatives such as CreateX 2.0, the organization continues to provide students with practical opportunities to develop communication, creative thinking, and leadership skills while fostering collaboration among universities across Bangladesh.
