Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) is set to host the fourth edition of its inter-department cultural competition, ‘Shresthottwer Lorai 4.0’, on October 2, 2026.
Organized by Ekattor Cultural Club, BUTEX, the event will bring together students from all 11 departments of the university to compete in three categories—music, dance and drama.
The competition aims to provide students with a platform to demonstrate their artistic talent, creativity and stage performance skills while promoting cultural interaction and strengthening connections among different academic departments.
Participants will represent their respective departments through performances that highlight creativity, teamwork and cultural expression. Beyond the competitive aspect, the organizers said the event is intended to encourage students to pursue creative activities alongside their academic responsibilities.
Preparations for the event have already generated enthusiasm across the university, with representatives from the participating departments preparing for performances in the three categories.
The organizers expect ‘Shresthottwer Lorai 4.0’ to create a vibrant cultural environment at BUTEX while encouraging student participation, collaboration and creative development.
