The 20th edition of the Bangladesh Denim Expo is set to begin on June 10 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, bringing together global industry stakeholders to discuss emerging trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the denim and apparel sector.
The two-day event will be inaugurated by Commerce, Industries, Textile and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir. More than 50 exhibitors from 10 countries are expected to participate, showcasing innovative products, technologies and solutions spanning the entire denim value chain, from raw materials and fabrics to advanced finishing technologies.
Organised under the theme “Frontline to Future,” this year’s expo aims to highlight Bangladesh’s evolution from a leading apparel manufacturing destination to a future-focused sourcing hub driven by sustainability, innovation and value-added production.
Speaking ahead of the event, Bangladesh Denim Expo Founder and CEO Mostafiz Uddin said the exhibition will serve as a platform not only for showcasing innovative products but also for exchanging ideas that are shaping the future of the global denim industry.
In addition to the exhibition, the event will host five panel discussions featuring policymakers, international buyers, industry leaders and experts from Bangladesh and abroad. Key topics will include post-LDC trade agreements, just transition in the apparel sector, product diversification, green investment opportunities and strategies to enhance Bangladesh’s global competitiveness.
Organisers believe the expo will create valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing, business networking and industry collaboration while reinforcing Bangladesh’s position as a key player in the rapidly evolving global denim and apparel market.
