BCCCI, OCAIB Explore Stronger Collaboration to Advance Bangladesh-China Economic Ties

The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) and the Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh (OCAIB) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration and expanding bilateral trade and investment to deepen Bangladesh-China economic relations.

The discussions took place during a courtesy meeting between a high-level BCCCI delegation, led by its President Mohd Khorshed Alam, and Felix Chang Y C, President of OCAIB, at the association’s office in Dhaka.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two organizations, promoting bilateral trade, attracting greater Chinese investment and fostering a more business-friendly environment to support long-term economic partnership between Bangladesh and China.

Both sides also exchanged views on strengthening institutional engagement and facilitating greater collaboration between the business communities of the two countries.

The BCCCI delegation included Senior Vice President AZM Azizur Rahman; Vice Presidents Chao Chongchong (James Chao), Khandaker Atiqur Rahman, and Masud Ali Khan; Director (Industry and Commerce) Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz; Directors Mohammad Amanur Rahman, Md. Kamruzzaman Ibne Amin, and Asif Haque Rupo; and Executive Director Md Abu Taher.

Senior officials from OCAIB, including its Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents, Deputy Secretaries General and Executive Director, also attended the meeting.

The engagement reflects the growing commitment of both organizations to strengthening Bangladesh-China business relations through enhanced institutional cooperation, increased investment promotion and closer collaboration between the private sectors of the two countries.
