Germany-based Karl Mayer has inaugurated its Textile Innovation Center (TIC), a 5,000-square-meter facility aimed at accelerating innovation and collaboration across the global textile value chain.
Launched during April 21–24, 2026, alongside Techtextil Frankfurt 2026, the center integrates warp knitting, warp preparation, and technical textile technologies under one roof.
The TIC is designed as a collaborative platform, enabling partners to develop concepts and near-market prototypes faster, reducing innovation cycles and improving commercialization speed.
Karl Mayer CEO Lutz Wolf said the center will strengthen competitiveness through innovation, quality, and partnership-driven development, while also creating new business opportunities.
The facility also includes the Karl Mayer Academy, which will provide training for technicians, students, and industry professionals to support future workforce development.
Industry experts view the TIC as part of a broader shift toward innovation-led and collaboration-driven textile manufacturing ecosystems.
